During the week of July 26, 2015, fans bade a final farewell to country legend Lynn Anderson and famed steel guitarist Buddy Emmons. Anderson is famous for her smash 1970 crossover hit, "Rose Garden." Emmons can be heard on many recordings by such diverse bands and artists as The Everly Brothers, Ray Charles, Judy Collins, Henry Mancini, and Ray Price.

Also that week, the events for this year's upcoming Elvis Week, which takes place this August at Graceland, were announced. The main highlight is the First-Day-Of-Issue ceremony for the new Elvis Forever stamp.

This September, Joe Walsh of The Eagles will be launching a North American tour. Also that month, the 30th Annual Farm Aid benefit concert will be taking place in Chicago, with Neil Young and John Mellencamp headlining this event. Peter Frampton, who is currently on tour with Cheap Trick, will be launching an all-acoustic tour this October. Also, Hot Tuna will be giving two shows in New York City this November to celebrate the 75th birthday of guitarist and group co-founder, Jorma Kaukonen.

An expanded version of Elvis Presley's final album, "Today," originally recorded in 1975, will be coming out this August in commemoration of its 40th anniversary. This September, Darlene Love will be releasing a new album titled "Introducing Darlene Love." In October, a remastered version of Frank Zappa's 1974 album, "One Size Fits All," will be coming out on vinyl.

Also that week, it was announced that "Keith Richards: Under The Influence," a new documentary about the legendary Rolling Stones guitarist, will be making its premiere on Netflix this September. "Janis," a new documentary about the late and great Janis Joplin, will also be making its premiere that same month at this year's Venice International Film Festival.

Finally, Smokey Robinson will be this year's honoree at the upcoming Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum's Music Masters series which will take place this November.

July 27, 2015: Joe Walsh To Launch Fall Tour

Joe Walsh of The Eagles will soon be launching a North American tour, with 13 show dates announced so far. This trek is set to begin on September 18, 2015 in Warren, OH and end on October 17 in Boston, MA, with additional stops in Ohio, as well as in Connecticut, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C., and Ontario, Canada. Walsh's shows will feature solo hits and songs from his time with the James Gang and Barnstorm.

July 28, 2015: Hot Tuna To Celebrate Jorma Kaukonen's 75th Birthday At Annual Bash

On November 20 and 21, 2015, Hot Tuna, a spin-off of Jefferson Airplane formed in 1969, will be giving two shows to celebrate the 75th birthday of guitarist Jorma Kaukonen. These performances will take place at New York City's Beacon Theatre, where the band has been hosting its annual bash for a number of years. A founding member of both Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna, Kaukonen, has, over the years, continued to perform both solo and with Hot Tuna. He recently released a new album, "Ain't In No Hurry."

July 28, 2015: Neil Young, John Mellencamp To Headline Farm Aid 30

The 30th Annual Farm Aid benefit concert is set to take place on September 19, 2015 in Chicago at the FirstMerit Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island. July 28, 2015: Elvis Week 2015 Events Announced

On September 18, 2015, a new Keith Richards documentary will premiere on Netflix. Titled "Keith Richards: Under The Influence" this film covers the legendary Rolling Stones guitarist's long career and musical influences and shows him working on his new album. Highlights include archival material, rare footage, and conversations between Richards and other musicians.

July 29, 2015: Frank Zappa 1974 Album To Be Reissued

On October 16, 2015, a remastered version of Frank Zappa's 1974 album, "One Size Fits All," will be coming out on vinyl. This recording is the first of many planned by the late rock legend's family in partnership with Universal Music Enterprises. A Frank Zappa documentary is also in the works.

July 29, 2015: Peter Frampton To Launch All-Acoustic Fall Tour

Peter Frampton, who is currently on tour in North America with Cheap Trick, will be soon be launching another tour this fall, this time without electric guitars. Dubbed "Peter Frampton Raw, An Acoustic Tour," this upcoming 12-date trek begins on October 8, 2015 in Greenville, TN and ends on October 24 in Van Wert, OH, with additional stops in Ohio, as well as in Connecticut, Illinois, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.

July 29, 2015: New Janis Joplin Documentary To Premiere At Venice Film Festival

A new documentary about the late and great Janis Joplin will be making its premiere at this year's Venice International Film Festival, which takes place September 2-12, 2015. Titled "Janis," this movie covers Joplin's life and rapid rise to fame up to her death at age 27 from a heroin overdose. Highlights include interviews, rare footage, and archival concert clips.

July 30, 2015: Famed Steel Guitarist Buddy Emmons Passes Away

Famed steel guitarist Buddy Emmons died on July 21, 2015 at age 78 in Nashville, TN. A highly acclaimed and sought-after session musician, Emmons can be heard on many recordings by such diverse bands and artists as Linda Ronstadt, Nancy Sinatra, Ernest Tubb, The Everly Brothers, Faron Young, John Sebastian, Ray Price, Ray Charles, Judy Collins, Little Jimmy Dickens, Henry Mancini, and the Carpenters. He was a highly versatile performer whose styles ranged from ballads, movie soundtracks, and commercial jingles to big band, be-bop jazz, and country. Known as "The World's Foremost Steel Guitarist," he is famous for his many innovations in both the performance and development of this instrument. He was also nicknamed the "Big E" both for his 6-foot stature and his musical virtuosity.

July 31, 2015: Country Legend Lynn Anderson Passes Away

Legendary country singer-songwriter Lynn Anderson died at age 67 on July 30, 2015 at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN from a heart attack. She is best remembered for her 1970 smash crossover hit, "Rose Garden."

Anderson was born in Grand Forks, ND to songwriter parents and began her music career as a teenager performing on the Country Caravan TV program. In 1966, at age 19, she made her debut on the Country charts with "Ride, Ride, Ride." This was followed by a long string of hits through 1989 that also included the chart toppers, "You're My Man" (1971), "How Can I Unlove You" (1971), "Keep Me In Mind" (1973), "What A Man, My Man Is" (1974), and her signature song, the Joe South-penned "Rose Garden" (1970). Besides topping the Country charts, the latter song also reached #3 on the Billboard 100, amassed a huge international following, and earned Anderson a Grammy in 1971. Her "Rose Garden" LP also became the biggest selling country album by a solo female artist that year and remained so through 1997.

Beginning in 1967, she became a regular on the Lawrence Welk Show and toured with the Welk Road Show. In 1990, she starred and performed in the BBC drama, "The Wreck On The Highway." Anderson's many awards and accolades included being named the ACM Top Female Vocalist in 1967, the CMA Female Vocalist of the Year in 1971, and an inductee into the American Country Music Association Hall of Fame in 1999. She received an American Music Award and a People's Choice Award in 1974 and 1975, respectively, and in 2002, was named one of CMT's 40 Greatest Women of Country Music. Her 2004 album, "The Bluegrass Sessions," was nominated for a Grammy.

July 31, 2015: Expanded Version Of Elvis Presley 'Today' Album To Be Released

An expanded version of Elvis Presley's final album, "Today," originally recorded in March, 1975, is due out on August 7, 2015, in commemoration of this album's 40th anniversary. Highlights include the Top 40 hit, "T-R-O-U-B-L-E," and other Presley classics, covers of "And I Love Her So" (Don McLean), "I Can Help" (Billy Swan), "Fairytale" (The Pointer Sisters), and Green, Green Grass Of Home (Tom Jones), and many bonus tracks.

July 31, 2015: Darlene Love To Release New Album

On September 18, 2015, Darlene Love will be releasing her first new album in over 15 years. Titled "Introducing Darlene Love," this collection features songs by many top songwriters, including Barry Mann & Cynthia Weil, Bruce Springsteen, Jimmy Webb, Elvis Costello, and this album's arranger and producer, Steven Van Zandt.
