During the week of March 1, 2015, it was announced that tickets to the sold-out "Fare Thee Well" Grateful Dead concert, the last show in which all four of the band's original surviving members will appear together, can still be obtained on the secondary ticket marketplace for a whopping $116,000.

This April, the Ides of March is set to release a career-spanning box set titled "Last Band Standing - The Definitive 50-Year Anniversary Collection." A Yes box set titled "Progeny: Highlights From Seventy-Two" of newly-discovered performances of the band's fall 1972 North American tour is due out this May. Paul McCartney is currently offering three previously unreleased Wings songs on his official website as free downloads. Also, Steven Tyler recently recorded a solo version of the 1990 Aerosmith hit, "Janie's Got A Gun," for the upcoming movie of the same name which co-stars Natalie Portman and Ewan McGregor.

Barry Gibb and former Traffic member Dave Mason are among the many bands and artists who will be performing at the upcoming "Hard Rock Rising" music festival which takes place later this month in Miami, FL. Boston, Eddie Money and Sammy Hagar are among those who will be performing at Florida's 19th annual SunFest starting in late April. John Fogerty recently announced a series of U.S. show dates beginning in May. Paul McCartney recently announced a series of European tour dates also beginning that month. This June, Brian Wilson will be launching a North American tour with former Beach Boys members Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin. This July, Chicago and Earth, Wind & Fire are set to begin a joint tour in North America.

This March, "Brian Fest: A Night To Celebrate The Music Of Brian Wilson," a tribute concert in honor of the famed Beach Boys co-founder, is set to take place in Los Angeles. This May, the late and great Jerry Garcia will be honored by the four surviving original members of the Grateful Dead and others in a tribute concert, "Dear Jerry: Celebrating The Music Of Jerry Garcia," to take place in Columbia, MD.

Also that week, it was announced that the new Kansas documentary, "Miracles Out Of Nowhere," will be making its TV premiere March 20, 2015 on Palladia and VH1 Classic. Also, this year's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremonies, which take place on April 18 at Cleveland's Public Hall, are set to air May 30 on HBO.

Finally, "Led Zeppelin," a film of selected concerts from the 1970s by this legendary band, will be shown in over 300 theaters across the nation on March 30, 2015 for one night only.

March 2, 2015: Grateful Dead's 50th Anniversary Show Tickets Now Going For Up To $116,000

Last February, when the Grateful Dead announced its upcoming 50th anniversary show, it sold out almost immediately. Dubbed "Fare Thee Well," this series of three shows which take place July 3-5, 2015 at Chicago's Soldier Field will be the last ones in which all four original surviving members of this legendary band appear together. Some tickets can still be obtained from Stubhub, an online secondary ticket marketplace, at prices ranging from around $1,350 (for the "cheap seats") to a whopping $116,000. When they were first offered online, ticket prices ranged from $59.50 to $199.50.

March 2, 2015: Steven Tyler Records Solo Version Of 'Janie's Got A Gun' For Upcoming Movie

Aerosmith's Steven Tyler recently recorded a solo version of the band's 1990 hit, "Janie's Got A Gun," for the upcoming movie of the same name which co-stars Natalie Portman and Ewan McGregor. The film is due out on September 4, 2015

March 2, 2015: Led Zeppelin Concert Film To Be Shown In Theaters For One Night Only

On March 30, 2015, a concert film of Led Zeppelin performances from the 1970s will be shown in over 300 theaters across the nation. Titled "Led Zeppelin," this film shows the legendary rock band performing at London's Royal Albert Hall in January 1970, at New York City's Madison Square Garden in July 1973, at London's Earl's Court in May 1975, and at the U.K.'s Knebworth Festival in August 1979. March 2, 2015: John Fogerty Announces Tour Dates

John Fogerty recently announced a series of show dates in the U.S. for his upcoming "1969" tour, in which he will perform many classic songs from several Creedence Clearwater Revival album released that year. His trek is set to begin on May 2, 2015 in Memphis, TN and end on July 15 in Los Angeles, CA with additional stops in Tennessee as well as in Florida, Georgia, North and South Carolina, and Virginia.

March 3, 2015: Barry Gibb To Perform In 'Hard Rock Rising' Miami Beach Festival

March 3, 2015: Brian Wilson Tribute Concert To Take Place In Los Angeles

On March 30, 2015, Brian Wilson will be honored in a tribute concert in which Beach Boys co-founding member Al Jardine and Ann Wilson of Heart will be among the many artists to perform songs written by Wilson. This event, dubbed "Brian Fest: A Night To Celebrate The Music Of Brian Wilson," will be taking place in Los Angeles at the Fonda Theatre. Tickets proceeds will go towards the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, an organization that benefits struggling musicians.

March 3, 2015: 2015 Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Induction To Air On HBO

On May 30, 2015, this year's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremonies are set to air on HBO at 8:00 PM ET/PT. This event, which takes place on April 18 at Cleveland's Public Hall, will also be shown in a simulcast on several big screens at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame museum. Among this year's inductees are Ringo Starr, Lou Reed, Bill Withers, the "5" Royales, and the Paul Butterfield Blues Band.

March 4, 2015: Ides Of March To Release 50th Anniversary Compilation Box Set

On April 18, 2015, the Ides of March is set to release a 50th anniversary CD/DVD box set. Titled "Last Band Standing - The Definitive 50-Year Anniversary Collection," highlights of this career-spanning collection include the group's entire first two albums from 1970 and 1971, some selections from two albums released in 1972-1973, some songs recorded during the 1990s, footage from live and televised performances, and some new songs that include the title track. This group, which is famous for the 1970 smash hit, "Vehicle," also has several U.S. show dates lined up that begin on March 16 in Charleston, SC and end on November 14 in Rosemont, IL

March 5, 2015: Paul McCartney Offers Free Downloads

Paul McCartney is currently offering three previously unreleased Wings songs on his official website as free downloads: "Love My Baby" (from the 1974 documentary, "One Hand Clapping"), "Letting Go (extended version), and "Rock Show" (remastered version). These songs are also streaming at McCartney's SoundCloud page.

March 6, 2015: Paul McCartney Announces 2015 European Tour Dates

Paul McCartney recently announced a series of European tour dates for later this year as part of his ongoing "Out There" tour. This trek kicks off on May 23, 2015 in London, England and ends on July 9 in Stockholm, Sweden, with additional stops in England as well as in Denmark, France, Holland, and Norway. Prior to that, McCartney will be touring the Far East beginning in late April.

March 6, 2015: New Kansas Documentary To Make TV Premiere

March 6, 2015: Yes To Release Newly-Discovered 1972 Concert Recordings

On May 19, 2015, a Yes box set of newly-discovered performances of the band's fall 1972 North American tour are scheduled to be released. Titled "Progeny: Highlights From Seventy-Two," this collection, available as either a 2-CD or 3-LP vinyl set, includes selected segments from seven concerts and features such classic songs as "I've Seen All Good People" and "Roundabout." A 14-CD set titled "Progeny: Seven Shows From Seventy-Two" includes the seven concerts in their entirety.
