During the week of February 14, 2016, Tony Bennett, Bob Dylan, Mavis Staples, and Joni Mitchell won Grammys for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album, Best Historical Album, Best American Roots Performance, and Best Album Notes, respectively.
Also that week, the President and First Lady announced an upcoming concert tribute to Ray Charles which will be televised on PBS February 26, 2016 as part of the series, "In Performance At The White House."
Neil Young performs Scott McKenzie's "San Francisco (Be Sure To Wear Flowers In Your Hair)" on "Something Real," the latest album by Young's backing band, Promise Of The Real Album, to be released this March. A new album by Ronnie Spector will be coming out in April titled "English Heart" which pays tribute to the music of the British Invasion of the 1960s. Also, Eric Clapton is set to release a new album this May titled "I Still Do."
Sam Moore and Delbert McClinton are among those to be performing at the upcoming 5th edition of the Skyville Live online concert series to take place later this month in Nashville, TN. The Jacksons and Alice Cooper's Hollywood Vampires both announced new shows for May to take place in New Buffalo, MI and Verona, NY, respectively. This August, Steven Tyler will be headlining the 2016 WE Fest to take place in Detroit Lakes, MN. Also, Rod Stewart announced two new shows in Ireland for this November as part of his upcoming "From Gasoline Alley To Another Country" tour.
Also that week, Elton John's latest album, "Wonderful Crazy Night," debuted at #8 on the Billboard 200, making this his 19th Top 10 album on this chart to date. Bruce Springsteen will be publishing a new book this July titled "BOSS: Bruce Springsteen And The E Street Band." Also, Mike Love announced plans to release his autobiography sometime this fall.
Finally, it was announced that the Mick Jagger-produced HBO series, "Vinyl," has been renewed for a second season.

February 14, 2016: Rod Stewart Adds New Ireland Show Dates
Rod Stewart has added two new show dates in Ireland to his upcoming "From Gasoline Alley To Another Country" tour. These concerts are set to take place November 14 and 18, 2016 in Belfast and Dublin, respectively. Stewart will perform both old classics from the 1970s-1980s and newer songs.

The 58th Annual Grammy Awards ceremonies took place on February 15, 2016 and were televised live on CBS. Among this year's Grammy Award winners was Tony Bennett who received the Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album award for "The Silver Lining: The Songs Of Jerome Kern." Bob Dylan received the Best Historical Album award for "The Basement Tapes Complete: The Bootleg Series Vol. 11." Mavis Staples' rendition of "See That My Grave Is Kept Clean" from her 2015 album, "Your Good Fortune," won the award for Best American Roots Performance. Also, Joni Mitchell's career-spanning "Love Has Many Faces: A Quartet, A Ballet, Waiting To Be Danced" received the Best Album Notes award.
February 16, 2016: Hollywood Vampires Announce First 2016 U.S. Concert
Alice Cooper's Hollywood Vampires announced their first U.S. concert for this year which will take place on May 24, 2016 in Verona, NY at the Turning Stone Resort. Afterward, this supergroup, which also includes actor Johnny Depp and Joe Perry of Aerosmith, will perform at the Rock In Rio festival in Lisbon, Portugal before heading back to the U.S. to headline the Rock Fest at Cadott, WI. The Hollywood Vampires also made their TV debut on February 15 at the Grammy Awards ceremonies with their performance of "Ace Of Spades" and a new song, "As Bad as I Am."
February 16, 2016: Elton John's 'Wonderful Crazy Night' Makes Billboard 200 Top 10
Elton John's 33rd and latest album, "Wonderful Crazy Night," recently debuted at #8 on the Billboard 200, making this his 19th Top 10 album on this chart to date. His first Top 10 album was his self-titled January 1971 release. Other Top 10 albums include "The Diving Board," which made its debut at #4 in 2013, and "Blue Moves," which debuted at #3 in 1976.
February 17, 2016: Ronnie Spector To Release New Album
A new album by Ronnie Spector will be coming out on April 8, 2016. Titled "English Heart," this 11-song collection pays tribute to the music of the British Invasion of the 1960s with covers of such classics as Lulu's "Oh Me Oh My (I'm A Fool For You Baby)," The Kinks' "Tired Of Waiting," and The Zombies' "Tell Her No."
February 18, 2016: Eric Clapton To Release New Album
A new album by Eric Clapton titled "I Still Do" will be coming out on May 20, 2016. Highlights of this 12-track collection include new songs by Clapton plus covers of such tunes as Bob Dylan's "I Dreamed I Saw St. Augustine."
February 18, 2016: Neil Young Featured On Upcoming Promise Of The Real Album
Neil Young's backing band, Promise Of The Real Album, is set to release a new album titled "Something Real" on March 11, 2016. Highlights include a cover by Young of the Scott McKenzie flower power classic, "San Francisco (Be Sure To Wear Flowers In Your Hair)."
February 19, 2016: Mike Love To Publish Autobiography
Mike Love announced plans to release his autobiography through Blue Rider Press sometime this fall, on or around the 50-year anniversary of "Good Vibrations." Among the many topics to be covered in Love's upcoming book are The Beach Boys' phenomenal success in the 1960s, his many years with the group, and his relationship with Brian Wilson.
February 19, 2016: Mick Jagger-Produced 'Vinyl' TV Series Renewed For Second Season
It was announced that the new Mick Jagger-produced HBO series, "Vinyl," which made its premiere on February 14, 2016, has been renewed for a second season. Set in 1970s New York City, "Vinyl" covers the music business scene during the emergence of disco, punk rock, and hip-hop and stars Bobby Cannavale as a record executive trying to keep his label afloat.
February 19, 2016: The Jacksons Add New Show To Itinerary
The Jacksons announced a new show for May 27, 2016 in New Buffalo, MI at the Four Winds Casino. This veteran family group, whose members currently consist of Tito, Jackie and Marlon Jackson, is celebrating its 50th anniversary on tour this year with performances of such classics as "ABC," "I Want You Back," and "I'll Be There," plus video tributes to their late brother and former lead singer, Michael. February 19, 2016: White House Announces Upcoming Tribute To Ray Charles
The White House announced the next program in its ongoing series of concert tributes: "Smithsonian Salutes Ray Charles: In Performance At The White House." Among the many artists to honor the late and great Ray Charles will be Sam Moore of Sam & Dave, with the President and First Lady in attendance. This event, which will take place on February 24, 2016, will be broadcast February 26 on PBS stations nationwide and simulcast on cable channel TV One, and it will also be streamed at WhiteHouse.gov.
February 20, 2016: Bruce Springsteen Book Coming Out This Summer
Bruce Springsteen has another book coming out on July 1, 2016 in addition to his autobiography due out this fall. Titled "BOSS: Bruce Springsteen And The E Street Band," this upcoming book, to be published through Voyageur Press, features 250 photos from the legendary singer's long career.
