Bruce & Terry were a pop/rock duo consisting of Bruce Johnston (b. June 27, 1942) and producer Terry Melcher (February 8, 1942 - November 19, 2004) who became famous during the mid 1960s. They are best known for the 1964 Beach Boys sound-alike surf rock hits, "Custom Machine" and "Summer Means Fun." Bruce Johnston also served for a time as a member of The Beach Boys, and both Johnston and Melcher later joined the sunshine pop studio group, Sagittarius.
