De La Soul is a veteran hip-hop group from Amityville in Long Island, NY formed while all the members were still in high school that became famous during the late 1980s and early 1990s. They are best known for the mostly spoken R&B chart topper, "Me Myself and I" (1989), which includes samples of Funkadelic's "(Not Just) Knee Deep."
