ABOUT

The El Dorados were a doo-wop group from Chicago, IL with smooth, soulful harmonies that became famous during the 1950s. Led by Pirkle Lee Moses Jr., the original hitmaking lineup also consisted of Louis Bradley, Jewel Jones, James Maddox, and Richard Nickens, with a number of personnel changes. They are best known for the catchy and upbeat "At My Front Door" (1955), which topped the R&B charts and made the Pop/Rock Top 20.
