ABOUT
Enchantment is a veteran soul/R&B group formed at Pershing High School in Detroit, MI that became famous during the late 1970s. The original lineup consisted of David Banks, Edgar "Mickey" Clanton, Bobby Green, Joe "Jobie" Thomas, and lead singer Emanuel "EJ" Johnson, with some personnel changes. They topped the R&B charts in 1978 with the ballad, "It's You That I Need," which also made the Pop/Rock Top 40, and had their biggest crossover success in 1977 with "Gloria," another Top 40 smash.
