John Kay (b. Joachim Fritz Krauledat) is an East German-born American rock singer, songwriter, and guitarist who became famous beginning in the late 1960s as the frontman of Steppenwolf. As a solo artist, he is best known for his country rock hit cover of the Hank Snow-penned "I'm Movin' On" (1972), which topped the Country charts for Snow in 1950.
