ABOUT
Lamont Dozier (June 16, 1941 - August 8, 2022) was a highly acclaimed and influential singer, songwriter, and record producer from Detroit, MI and one third of the renowned Holland-Dozier-Holland songwriting/production team that penned many of Motown's top hits and helped create the label's signature sound. As a performing artist, Dozier is best known for the Top 20 smash, "Trying To Hold On To My Woman" (1973). With the Holland brothers, he was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1990.
