Les Emmerson (September 17, 1944 - December 10, 2021) was a veteran Canadian singer, songwriter, and guitarist who became famous during the 1970s as the lead vocalist and guitarist for Five Man Electrical Band. As a solo artist, he is best known in the U.S. for the serene and romantic "Control Of Me" (1973). Emmerson wrote the smash hit, "Signs," the song for which Five Man Electrical Band is best known.
