Roddis Franklin "Pete" Drake (October 8, 1932 - July 29, 1988) was a highly acclaimed and veteran Nashville-based producer, pedal steel guitar player, and one of the most highly sought-after backup musicians during the 1960s and 1970s. As a recording artist, he is best known for the Top 40 smash, "Forever" (1964), which became a million-seller. His many honors included being inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame & Museum (2007) and the Country Music Hall of Fame (2022).
