The Ribbons were an early 1960s LA-based girl group best remembered for "Ain't Gonna Kiss Ya" (1963) written by James Marcus Smith (a.k.a. P.J. Proby). Group members included Arthetta Givan, Lovie Kinchion, Evelyn Doty, and Vessie Simmons.
