In pop music, Bill Pursell is best known as a Nashville session pianist from the 1960s who became famous for his instrumental hit "Our Winter Love" (1963). Since 1980, Dr. Pursell has been a professor of music at Belmont University. He is a prolific composer and arranger who has written for television and has numerous orchestral compositions to his credit.
