Billy J. Kramer and the Dakotas was a British Invasion band. Their best known songs include "Little Children" (1964), "Bad To Me" (1964), and "From A Window" (1964). The lead singer was born William Howard Ashton near Liverpool, and early in his singing career he performed under the stage name of Billy Kramer (as the story goes, he chose the Kramer surname at random from the telephone directory).
