Philadelphia band formed in 1962. Their earlier style was a mixture of doo-wop and soul which later evolved to baroque rock. Although the Kit Kats were very popular locally, they did not chart nationally until 1966 with "Let's Get Lost On A Country Road." The Kit Kats changed their name to New Hope in 1969 and their best known song, "Won't Find Better Than Me," made the Billboard Hot 100 in 1970.
