LONNIE DONEGAN AND HIS SKIFFLE GROUP - Songs

British skiffle band (a.k.a. the Lonnie Donegan Skiffle Group for the 1956 song, "Rock Island Line"). Best known songs include the novelty hit "Does Your Chewing Gum Lose Its Flavor (On The Bedpost Over Night)" (1961). Skiffle was extremely popular in Britain throughout most of the 1950s and remained so until it was taken over by rock and roll around the early 1960s.
