Napoleon XIV was recording engineer and novelty singer-songwriter Jerry Samuels whose best known songs include the thoroughly demented "They're Coming To Take Me Away, Ha-Haaa!" (1966, 1973 remake).

(This maniacal number was remade in 1973 and recharted. "They're Coming To Take Me Away" is spoken throughout at varying speeds with loud percussion and sirens in the background. The B-side song was the A-side played in reverse.)
