Bill Doggett (February 16, 1916 - November 13, 1996) was a highly acclaimed and veteran jazz/R&B pianist, organist, and songwriter with a long string of instrumental hits who became famous during the late 1950s. He is best known for the self-penned "Honky Tonk (Parts 1 & 2)" (1956), which topped the R&B charts, made the Pop/Rock Top 5, and became a million-seller.
