Fred Darian

ABOUT

Fred Darian (b. 1927) is a singer, songwriter, and producer who became famous during the early 1960s. As a recording artist, he is best known for the epic wartime march sagas, "Battle Of Gettysburg" and "Johnny Willow," which both became hits in 1961. Darian also co-wrote the similarly-styled novelty smash, "Mr. Custer," which topped the charts for Larry Verne in 1960.
