ABOUT

Laurie London is an English singer who became famous during the late 1950s while still in his early teens. He is best known in the U.S. for his earnest rendition of the traditional African-American spiritual, "He's Got The Whole World (In His Hands)" (1958), which topped the Pop/Rock charts and made the R&B Top 5. After retiring from the music business in the early 1960s, London later went on to run a hotel in Petworth, West Sussex, which he sold in 2000.
