Nathaniel Mayer (February 10, 1944 - November 1, 2008) was an R&B singer with raw, energetic vocals who became famous during the early 1960s while still in his late teens. He is best known for the bouncy "Village Of Love" (1962), an R&B Top 20 smash which also made the Pop/Rock Top 40. He was inducted into the Michigan Rock & Roll Legends Hall of Fame in 2014.
