Oscar Brown Jr. (October 10, 1926 - May 29, 2005) was a singer, songwriter, actor, TV host, activist, poet, and playwright who became famous during the mid 1970s. As a performing artist, he is best known for "The Lone Ranger" (1974), which made the R&B Top 40.
