Ernest Jansen "Red" Ingle (November 7, 1906 - September 6, 1965) was a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, arranger, cartoonist, and caricaturist who became famous during the late 1940s with his group, The Natural Seven, for his novelty hits. Best known for the swinging "Temptation (Tim-Tayshun)" (1947), which topped the charts, other major hits include the zany "Cigareetes, Whuskey, And Wild, Wild Women" (1948) and the rollicking "Serutan Yob (A Song For Backward Boys And Girls Under 40)" (1948).
