Soft Cell is an English synth-pop duo (Marc Almond and David Ball) who became famous during the early 1980s. They are best known for their remake of an early 1960s R&B song, "Tainted Love" (1982), which became a Top 10 hit in the U.S. and topped the charts in many other countries.
