Ted Weems (September 26, 1901 - May 6, 1963) was a violinist, trombonist, and bandleader who became famous beginning in the early 1920s. His long string of hits from 1922-1948 included the chart-topping "Heartaches" (1947), with whistling provided by Elmo Tanner. Weems many honors and accolades included a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
