ABOUT

The Clique was a sunshine pop group that became famous during the late 1960s. They are best known for the Tommy James-penned bubblegum smash, "Sugar On Sunday" (1969). Formed in Beaumont Texas in the mid 1960s and first known as The Roustabouts, the hitmaking lineup included lead singer Randy Shaw (horns) with Jerry Cope (drums), David Dunham (sax, backing vocals), Oscar Houchins (keyboards, backing vocals), Tom Pena (bass), and Sid Templeton (guitar, backing vocals).
