Dion DiMucci (b. 1939), better known professionally by his first name, is a highly acclaimed and veteran pop/rock singer, songwriter, and former teen idol who became famous beginning in the late 1950s as the lead singer of Dion & The Belmonts before going solo. His long string of hits includes such oldies classics as "A Teenager In Love" (1959), "Where Or When" (1959), "Runaround Sue" (1961), "The Wanderer" (1961), "Lovers Who Wander" (1962), and "Ruby Baby" (1963), as well as the elegiac "Abraham, Martin And John" (1968).

Dion has continued to perform and record actively to the present day, with over 40 albums released to date. His numerous honors and accolades include being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1989 and the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2002 for "Runaround Sue."
