The Dramatics - Songs

ABOUT

The Dramatics are a highly acclaimed and veteran R&B/pop/soul vocal group with a smooth, polished sound and tight harmonies that became famous during the early 1970s. Their best known songs include the funky "Whatcha See Is Whatcha Get" (1971), the melancholic "In The Rain" (1972), and the powerful "Hey You! Get Off My Mountain" (1973).

Formed in 1964 in Detroit, Michigan by Ron Banks (May 10, 1951 - March 4, 2010), the classic hitmaking lineup also consisted of Larry "Squirrel" Demps, Willie "Sugar Bear" Ford (July 10, 1950 - May 28, 2019), William "Wee Gee" Howard, and Elbert Wilkins. L.J. Reynolds and Lenny Mayes replaced Howard and Wilkins in 1973, with many other personnel changes over the years. The Dramatics were inducted into the National Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame in 2013.
