Five Man Electrical Band - Songs

ABOUT

Five Man Electrical Band is a veteran Canadian rock group that became famous during the early 1970s. They are best known for the era-defining anti-establishment smash, "Signs" (1971), a critique of societal norms and restrictions as seen through various signs that anger or frustrate the song's narrator.

Formed in 1963 in Ottawa, Ontario and first known as The Staccatos, the classic hitmaking lineup consisted of Ted Gerow (keyboards, vocals), brothers Mike (drums, vocals) and Rick Belanger (drums, percussion, vocals), bassist/singer Brian Rading (d. June 8, 2016, age 69), and lead singer/guitarist Les Emmerson (September 17, 1944 - December 10, 2021), who served as the band's main songwriter. After disbanding in 1975, the group reformed in 1986 and has continued to perform and record actively to the present day, with a number of personnel changes over the years.
