ABOUT
The Happenings are a veteran pop vocal group with close-knit harmonies specializing in upbeat covers of classic songs that became famous during the late 1960s. Their best known songs include the yearning "See You In September" (1966), originally a hit for The Tempos in 1959, and "I Got Rhythm" (1967), a sunshine pop remake of the famous George and Ira Gershwin song of the same name.
Formed in the spring of 1961 in Paterson, New Jersey and first known as The Four Graduates, the original lineup consisted of Ralph DiVito, Tom Giuliano, David Libert, and lead singer Bob Miranda, all of whom had just graduated from high school at that time. The Happenings had a number of personnel changes over the years and the group has continued to perform actively to the present day, with Miranda as the only remaining original member.
