Johnny Crawford (March 26, 1946 - April 29, 2021) was a highly acclaimed and veteran actor, singer, teen idol, and band leader who became famous as a performing artist during the early 1960s. He is best known for the Top 40 smashes, "Cindy's Birthday" (1962), "Your Nose Is Gonna Grow" (1962), "Rumors" (1962), and "Proud" (1963).

Born in Los Angeles, California, he began his long career in show business as a child actor and in 1955, became one of the original Mouseketeers on Walt Disney's "The Mickey Mouse Club." Johnny Crawford's numerous acting credits included portraying Chuck Connor's son (Mark McCain) in the popular TV Western series, "The Rifleman," for which he received an Emmy nomination in 1959 at age 13 - along with his older brother Robert for his role on "Playhouse 90" and their father for editing "The Bob Cummings Show." As an adult, he continued to act on TV and in the movies and beginning in 1992, led the Johnny Crawford Dance Orchestra that specialized in early 20th century popular music.
