Liz Damon('s) Orient Express - Songs

ABOUT

Liz Damon's Orient Express was a soft rock/easy listening group from Hawaii that became famous during the early 1970s. They are best known for the haunting and ethereal Top 40 smash, "1900 Yesterday" (1970).

In addition to lead singer Liz Damon, the group's lineup included two female backup singers and a constantly rotating backup band. Sydette Sakauye and Damon's sister Edda served as the backup singers on the group's first album, "At The Garden Bar, Hilton Hawaiian Village" (1970), with Meri McPherson replacing Sakauye in 1971. They released three more music albums of mostly covers during the 1970s and a comedy album in 1979. By the late 1970s, Liz Damon's Orient Express had relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada where they continued to perform until their split in the mid 1980s.
