ABOUT

The Presidents were an R&B/soul trio from Washington, D.C. consisting of Tony Boyd, Archie Powell, and Billy Shorter. The group is best remembered for the sweet "5-10-15-20 (25-30 Years Of Love)" which became a Top 40 Pop/Rock and a Top 10 hit on the R&B charts in 1970. The song was nominated for a Grammy for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals.

The Presidents other hits also included "Triangle Of Love (Hey Diddle Diddle)" (1971) and "The Sweetest Thing This Side Of Heaven" (1971). The group changed its name to Anacostia in 1972 and had one hit the following year with "On And Off (Part 1)."
