ABOUT
Ronnie Dyson (June 5, 1950 - November 10, 1990) was an R&B singer and actor with a powerful, soulful tenor who became famous during the early 1970s. Best known for the catchy and upbeat "(If You Let Me Make Love To You Then) Why Can't I Touch You?" (1970), other hits include the heartfelt "I Don't Wanna Cry" (1970) and the funky "One Man Band (Plays All Alone)" (1973). Dyson made his career breakthrough in 1968 at age 18 with a lead role in the era-defining Broadway musical, "Hair." He became an iconic voice of the 1960s as the lead singer in this show's anthemic "Aquarius."
