ABOUT
Shelley Fabares (b. 1944) is a veteran actress, singer, and former teen idol who became famous as a recording artist during the early 1960s. She is best known for the chart-topping pop ballad, "Johnny Angel" (1962) and its sequel, "Johnny Loves Me" (1962). Darlene Love and her group, The Blossoms, provided backup vocals on "Johnny Angel."
Over her long career, Fabares has made numerous TV and movie appearances. She is best known for her roles on "The Donna Reed Show" and "Coach," the latter of which earned her two Emmy nominations. She also co-starred with Elvis Presley in three of his movies: "Girl Happy" (1965), "Spinout" (1966), and "Clambake" (1967).
