Corsairs Featuring Jay "Bird" Uzzell were a doo-wop group from La Grange, NC that became famous during the early 1960s. Their best known songs include "Smokey Places" (1961) and "I'll Take You Home" (1962). The lineup consisted of the three Uzzell brothers, Moses, Jay, James, and their cousin, George Wooten. "Smoky Places" was featured in the soundtrack to the 1994 film, "There Goes My Baby," and in the 2006 Sopranos episode, "Mayham."
