Marshall Crenshaw (b. 1953) is a highly acclaimed and veteran rock singer, songwriter, and guitarist with a style often compared to that of Buddy Holly who became famous during the 1980s. He is best known for the catchy rockabilly-influenced "Someday, Someway" (1982). He also made several movie appearances and portrayed Buddy Holly in "La Bamba" (1987). His many songwriting credits for other artists include "Til I Hear It from You" by The Gin Blossoms.
