September 17, 2012: Ann And Nancy Wilson To Receive Star On Hollywood Walk Of Fame
Sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson, key members of the classic rock band, Heart, will be honored on September 25, 2012 on Hollywood Boulevard in front of the Musicians Institute. Heart has a long string of hits that began in the mid 1970s with "Crazy On You," "Magic Man," and "Barracuda," and the band has sold over 35 million albums. Heart is currently on tour and will soon be releasing a new album, "Fanatic."

September 17, 2012: Bands And Artists From The 1980s Pay Tribute To Marc Bolan
In 1977, Marc Bolan, the frontman for the British glam rock band, T-Rex, was killed in a car accident. In tribute to the late singer, Boy George and Marc Almond performed at the Marc Bolan 35th Memorial Concert at the Shepherd's Bush Empire in London on September 15, 2012. The ceremonies also included a performance by 1960s pop singer Sandie Shaw of some of T-Rex's songs and an appearance by T-Rex drummer Bill Legend.

September 17, 2012: 'BAD 25' Documentary To Air On ABC This November
"BAD 25" is a documentary directed by Spike Lee that celebrates the 25th anniversary of Michael Jackson's famous "Bad" album. This documentary premiered in North America at the Toronto International Film Festival and it will air on ABC November 22, 2012. "BAD 25" chronicles the making of "Bad" and includes interviews and original live footage.

September 17, 2012: Beach Boys To Continue Touring Without Brian Wilson, Al Jardine, David Marks
The Beach Boys' 50th anniversary reunion tour will be ending in London later this month. After that, Brian Wilson, Al Jardine and David Marks (all of them original Beach Boys members) will not be performing with the group. The lineup will then once again consist of Mike Love, Bruce Johnston and their backing band that includes Love's son Christian, Randell Kirsch, Tim Bonhomme, John Cowsill and Scott Totten.

Barbara Streisand, Aretha Franklin, and Liza Minnelli all performed songs by late composer Marvin Hamlisch at his memorial service on September 18, 2012. Hamlisch, who passed away on August 6 at age 68, composed/arranged numerous movie and musical scores that included the films, "The Sting," ''Sophie's Choice," ''Ordinary People" and "The Way We Were," and the Broadway musical, "A Chorus Line."

September 20, 2012: Rolling Stones Unveil 3D 'GRRR' Gorilla Image
The Rolling Stones have just unveiled their new band logo which is an image of a gorrilla sticking his tongue out, much like the previous Roling Stones previous logo. The new logo heralds the band's upcoming "GRRR!" greatest hits compilation album which is to be released this November.

Famed 1960s icon Donovan announced that he will be embarking on a tour this fall in the US, starting on October 6, 2012 at the Hamilton in Washington, DC. Two more shows are scheduled for the remainder of this year.
