During the week of November 3, 2013, the late and great Janis Joplin was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Also that week, Rod Stewart was inducted into the Ultimate Classic Rock Hall of Fame for October, 2013, Motown founder Berry Gordy received the 2013 Lifetime Achievement Award from Ebony magazine, and George Strait was named CMA Entertainer of the Year for the third time in his career.

David Bowie just released a clip of "Atomica," a song from his latest album, "The Next Day Extra." A cut from Dylan's classic album, "The Times They Are A-Changin'," will be featured in the upcoming "Inside Llewyn Davis" soundtrack. "The Motown 7-Inch Box - Rare And Unreleased Vinyl," which is set to be released later this month, will include a rare Stevie Wonder track plus songs by other Motown greats. Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart will be releasing two new Christmas duets later this month. Also, David Crosby announced a new album which will be coming out this January and an upcoming tour.

Neil Young will be performing at the famous Carnegie Hall in early January. Paul Simon and Sting announced an upcoming tour that begins next February, and Aerosmith will be closing out England's Download Festival 2014 next July.

Finally, for those who live in or will be visiting Cleveland, the Rolling Stones' "Charlie is my Darling - Ireland 1965" just opened at the Foster Theater at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and will run through the end of this year.

November 3, 2013: David Bowie Releases Clip Of Single From 'The Next Day Extra'

David Bowie just released a clip of "Atomica," a song from his latest album, "The Next Day Extra." This album, which was released on November 5, 2013, is an expanded 3-disc set which includes "The Next Day" album released earlier this year plus a second CD with more songs and a DVD with music videos.

November 4, 2013: Rod Stewart Inducted Into The Ultimate Classic Rock Hall Of Fame

Rod Stewart has been inducted into the Ultimate Classic Rock Hall of Fame for October, 2013. The Ultimate Classic Rock Hall of Fame determines the winners each month by polling its readers and website visitors. Stewart is currently in residence in Las Vegas at Caesars Palace through November 24, 2013. Afterwards, he will resume his tour with Steve Winwood on December 4 at the TD Garden in Boston, MA.

November 5, 2013: David Crosby To Release New Album And Tour In 2014

David Crosby announced his upcoming solo album, "Croz," which will be released on January 28, 2014. This 11-track album includes some previously unheard songs he wrote while on tour with Crosby, Stills and Nash. Crosby will be touring next year in support of this album starting January 28, 2013 at the City Winery in New York City. He will perform "Croz" in its entirely plus some CSNY favorites.

November 5, 2013: Janis Joplin Honored With Star On Hollywood Walk Of Fame

On November 4, 2013, the late and great Janis Joplin was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Music industry mogul Clive Davis gave a speech, and Kris Kristofferson performed "Me and Bobby McGee," a song he wrote that became a big hit for Joplin.

November 5, 2013: Berry Gordy Receives Honors From Ebony Magazine

On November 4, 2013, famed Motown Records founder Berry Gordy received the 2013 Lifetime Achievement Award from Ebony magazine at the Ebony Power 100 gala. This event, which took place in New York City, included performances by the Jacksons who famously got their start (as the Jackson 5) in the late 1960s at Motown.

November 5, 2013: Paul Simon And Sting To Tour In 2014

Paul Simon and Sting will be touring together next year starting February 8, 2014 in Houston, TX. This tour will wrap up on March 16 in Orlando, FL. Their itinerary will include 18 stops in the U.S. and Canada with one show on February 15 at the renovated Forum in Inglewood, CA. Tickets for the show at the Forum are available through each performer's website. General ticket sales begin November 12 from Ticketmaster and Live Nation.

November 5, 2013: Bob Dylan Song Featured On 'Inside Llewyn Davis' Soundtrack

Bob Dylan's song, "Farewell," is featured as part of the upcoming "Inside Llewyn Davis" soundtrack, to be released on November 11, 2013. "Farewell," a cut from Dylan's classic 1962 album, "The Times They Are A-Changin'," was first released in 2010 as part of "The Bootleg Series Vol. 9" compilation. "Inside Llewyn Davis," which takes place during the 1960s in New York City's folk music scene, will premiere in theaters this December.

November 5, 2013: Rare Stevie Wonder Track To Be Released On Vinyl

The box set, "The Motown 7-Inch Box - Rare And Unreleased Vinyl," is set to be released on November 18, 2013. This collection will include a rare track by Stevie Wonder titled "Just Enough To Ease the Pain" which was previously only available as part of "The Complete Stevie Wonder," a digital compilation released in 2005. "The Motown 7-Inch Box - Rare And Unreleased Vinyl" will also include songs by Marvin Gaye, the Spinners, Diana Ross & the Supremes, the Four Tops, Tammi Terrell, Kim Weston, the Temptations, the Isley Brothers, and other Motown greats.

November 5, 2013: Rolling Stones Movie Opens In Foster Theater At The Rock Hall

For those who live in or will be in the Cleveland area sometime before the end of this year, the Rolling Stones' "Charlie is my Darling - Ireland 1965" opened on November 8, 2013, at the Foster Theater at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. This movie, which will run through December31, 2013, features never-before-seen footage from one of the Stones' tours in 1965 in Ireland. Tickets can be purchased at rockhall.com.

November 6, 2013: Aerosmith To Close Out Download Festival 2014

Aerosmith is slated to close out England's Download Festival 2014 on this event's third and final night, July 15, 2014. The famed rock band also headlined this festival in 2010. Other featured performers will include Avenged Sevenfold, Linkin Park, Rob Zombie, Alter Bridge, and Fall Out Boy. Tickets are available at downloadfestival.co.uk.

November 7, 2013: George Strait Named Entertainer Of The Year By CMA

At this year's CMA Awards, which was televised live on ABC November 6, 2013, George Strait was named Entertainer of the Year, making this the third time Strait has received this prestigious award. The country legend was first named CMA Entertainer of the Year in 1989 and again in 1990.

November 7, 2013: Heart To Release Two New Christmas Songs
