During the week of February 16, 2014, it was announced that new commemorative stamps featuring Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and James Brown will be issued by the U.S. Post Office over the next two years. Plans are also being made to reissue an Elvis Presley stamp from 1993, the USPS's all-time top seller.
Also, former Peanut Butter Conspiracy member Alan Brackett, whom we interviewed in 2005, just let us know about a new CD he produced titled "Barbara" which is now available on createspace.com. This album consists of songs by the PBC, many of them previously unreleased, that feature the late and great Barbara ("Sandi") Robison as the lead vocalist.
This March, the 1968 movie, "Wonderwall," which features a rare soundtrack by George Harrison, is set to be re-released as a collector's edition on DVD and Blu-ray. This April, Leon Russell will be releasing a new album of covers titled "Life Journey." Famed guitarist Jeff Beck will also be releasing a new album soon and will be launching a tour this April.
Towards the end of this month, the Kerry Simon Says Fight MSA benefit concert will take place in Las Vegas, NV, and Alice Cooper and Sammy Hagar will be among the featured bands and artists. This March, Neil Young will be performing at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles. This year's New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival will take place from April 25-May 4, 2014, and Santana, John Fogerty and Robert Plant will be among the featured performers. The last four days of this event will be broadcast live on AXS TV. Elton John will be co-headlining this year's Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival which will take place this June in Manchester, TN. Also, David Crosby, who recently underwent a medical procedure, had to reschedule a number of concerts originally slated for this month to take some time off to recover.
Finally, David Bowie was honored with the British Male Solo Artist award at this year's BRIT Awards ceremonies, making this his third BRIT award to date.

Robert Plant, John Fogerty and Santana are among those who will be performing at this year's New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival which will take place from April 25-May 4, 2014. The last four days of this event will be broadcast live on AXS TV, an entertainment TV channel based in the U.S. that is available on many cable systems.

February 17, 2014: David Crosby To Postpone Solo Concerts
David Crosby had a number of solo concerts in California, Virginia, and Illinois slated for this month but has rescheduled them for this March, April, and July. He recently underwent a cardiac catheterization and angiogram and was advised by his doctor to take some time off to fully recover.
February 18, 2014: 'Wonderwall' Movie Soundtrack By George Harrison To Be Re-Released This March
The 1968 movie, "Wonderwall," is set to be re-released as a collector's edition on March 25, 2014 on DVD and Blu-ray. The main highlight of this film is the rare soundtrack which is a collection of experimental and mostly instrumental compositions by George Harrison.

February 19, 2014: Leon Russell To Release New Album Of Covers
Leon Russell will soon be releasing a new album of covers of songs by artists as diverse as Billy Joel, Hoagy Carmichael, and early blues singer Robert Johnson. Titled "Life Journey," this upcoming album is scheduled to be released April 1, 2014.

February 19, 2014: Elton John To Co-Headline Bonnaroo 2014
Elton John, Kanye West, and Jack White will be headlining this year's Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival. This event will take place June 12-15, 2014 in Manchester, TN, and over 100 bands and artists will participate. February 20, 2014: David Bowie Honored With BRIT Award
At the 2014 BRIT Awards ceremonies, which took place on February 19 at London's O2 Arena, David Bowie was honored with the British Male Solo Artist award, making this his third BRIT award to date. Supermodel Kate Moss, who wore a Ziggy Stardust-styled costume, accepted the award for Bowie and read a statement by the legendary rocker who was not present at the awards ceremonies.
