During the week of February 23, 2014, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced that tickets to this year's induction ceremonies will be available to the general public starting March 1, 2014. The ceremonies will take place on April 10, 2014 at New York's Barclays Center and will be televised on HBO this May.
Also that week, KISS announced that the band will not be performing at the ceremonies. KISS is one of this year's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees.
This May, Billy Joel will be releasing a CD/DVD box set of his historic 1987 concerts in Russia, titled "A Matter of Trust: The Bridge to Russia." Also, some rare unmixed tapes made by Led Zeppelin ca. 1975 while the band was recording "Physical Graffiti" are set to be auctioned off this March, along with other rare tapes by Bad Company, Eric Clapton, the Who, Ozzy Osbourne and Flo and Eddie.
This March, Ron Campbell, the animator for the Beatles movie, "Yellow Submarine," will be appearing at this year's SXSW festival in Austin, TX. This May, Carlos Santana and Rod Stewart will be launching a tour that will cover 18 cities in North America. This June and July, Peter Frampton and the Doobie Brothers will appear together on stage for three shows in New York and New Jersey. This August, the Johnny Cash Music Fest will be taking place in Jonesboro, AR, and Loretta Lynn, Reba McEntire, and Bobby Bare will be among the featured performers.
Neil Young will soon be publishing a new book with a car theme which is expected out sometime this fall. This book will include stories from his many years in the music business and some of his artwork.
Finally, "Super Duper Alice Cooper," a new documentary about the veteran shock rocker, will be coming out sometime later this spring (see trailer below). This movie will debut this April at the New York Tribeca Film Festival.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced that tickets for the upcoming induction ceremonies, which will take place on April 10, 2014 at New York's Barclays Center, will be available to the general public starting March 1. American Express cardholders also have the option to purchase tickets starting February 24. The induction ceremonies will be televised on HBO sometime this May.

February 23, 2014: KISS Will Not Perform At Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Induction
KISS announced that the band will not be performing at this year's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremonies. KISS is among this year's list of inductees that also include Linda Ronstadt, Cat Stevens, and Hall & Oates. Since the group's founding in 1973, there have been many personnel changes over the years, and the various members, both past and present, could not agree on which lineup should perform.

February 24, 2014: Lineup For 2014 Johnny Cash Music Fest Announced
Loretta Lynn, Reba McEntire, and Bobby Bare are among the country music icons who will be performing at this year's Johnny Cash Music Festival. This event will take place on August 15, 2014 at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, AR. Proceeds will go to the Johnny Cash Boyhood Home Project in Dyess, AR.

February 25, 2014: Neil Young To Publish Car-Themed Book
Neil Young will soon be publishing a new semi-autobiographical book as told from the vantage point of his lifelong love of cars and passion for environmental causes. Interwoven in this eclectic book will be stories from his 60+ years in the music business, plus some of his own artwork. This new work does not yet have a title, and it is expected out sometime this fall.

February 25, 2014: Billy Joel To Release 1987 Russian Concerts On CD/DVD
In 1987, towards the end of the Cold War era, Billy Joel toured Russia, and his concerts were very well received by all except for some top ranking Soviet officials who left their front seats after the first few songs. On May 12, 2014, Joel will be releasing a CD/DVD set of these historic concerts, titled "A Matter of Trust: The Bridge to Russia," which includes songs from the 1987 live album, "Kohuept," plus 12 previously unreleased tracks. The deluxe edition also includes a documentary of Joel's tour, which debuted last month on Showtime, plus a book of photos and new liner notes.

February 27, 2014: Unmixed Led Zeppelin Tapes From Ca. 1975 To Be Auctioned Off
Unmixed tapes made by Led Zeppelin while the band was recording the 1975 album, "Physical Graffiti," are set to be auctioned off this March by RR Auctions in Amherst, NH. These tapes, which give a glimpse into the creation of this album during its early stages, were recorded at Ronnie Lane's Mobile Studio built by audio engineer Ron Nevison. Other pre-album tapes to be auctioned off include ones by Bad Company, Eric Clapton, the Who, Ozzy Osbourne and Flo and Eddie.
February 28, 2014: Animator For 'Yellow Submarine' To Appear At SXSW
As part of the Beatles 50th anniversary celebration, Ron Campbell, the animator for the Beatles 1968 movie, "Yellow Submarine," will be appearing at this year's SXSW festival in Austin, TX, which will take place March 7-16, 2014. Campbell, who also directed the Beatles weekly cartoon series which aired from 1965-1969, will also be exhibiting original paintings created for that series at a local gallery.

February 28, 2014: Santana And Rod Stewart To Tour Together This Summer
Carlos Santana and Rod Stewart will be touring together this summer starting May 23, 2014 in Albany, NY. Santana and Stewart will perform in 18 cities in North America before wrapping up on August 20 in Wantagh, NY.

February 28, 2014: Peter Frampton To Tour With The Doobie Brothers This Summer
Peter Frampton and the Doobie Brothers will be appearing together on stage this summer for three shows with locations and dates as follows: Holmdel, NJ (June 26, 2014), Bethel, NY (July 12, 2014), and Wantagh, NY (July 13. 2014). Frampton is also slated to host a one-night Guitar Circus event in Los Angeles with Buddy Guy this August.
