During the week of January 12, 2014, it was announced that Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr will be performing at this year's Grammy Awards ceremonies in which the Beatles will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award. This event will be televised January 26, 2014 on CBS.

Also that week, Fleetwood Mac announced that former longtime member Christine McVie has rejoined the band.

Later this month, Art Garfunkel will be launching a 4-week U.S. tour. Also, Neil Young, Brenda Lee, Duane Eddy, and other oldies greats will be performing at this year's Musicians Hall of Fame Induction ceremonies in Nashville, TN. Beginning in late April, the 2014 New Orleans Jazz Fest will be taking place, and Eric Clapton, Bruce Springsteen, and Santana will be among the many featured bands and artists. Also, Chicago and Reo Speedwagon announced their upcoming North American tour which will begin this August.

Black Sabbath's albums from the 1970s are now available on iTunes for the first time. Parlophone Records will be reissuing David Bowie's "Rebel Rebel" as a single on March 11, 2014, the 40th anniversary of this song. Bruce Springsteen announced that he will soon be offering full concert downloads which can be accessed by purchasing a special USB wristband. Also, a lost love song by Johnny Cash titled "She Used to Love Me A Lot" from his upcoming album, "Out Among The Stars," has just been released (see video below).

Aretha Franklin and Berry Gordy are among those who will be honored this February at the 2014 BET Honors which will be televised on February 24, 2014. Also, "20 Feet From Stardom," a documentary about pop music's unsung backup singers, has been nominated for an Oscar. This year's Academy Awards ceremonies will be televised live March 2, 2014 on ABC.

Finally, the legendary Chuck Berry is still going strong at age 87. He just gave his 200th show at the famous Blueberry Hill restaurant and music club in University City, MO, and he says he has no plans to retire any time soon.



January 13, 2014: Christine McVie Rejoins Fleetwood Mac

Fleetwood Mac announced that former longtime member Christine McVie has rejoined the band. She joined Fleetwood Mac in 1970 and continued on with the band through 1998 as a vocalist, songwriter, and keyboardist. McVie appeared in concert with Fleetwood Mac last September at London's O2 Arena.

January 13, 2014: Lost Johnny Cash Love Song Released

A lost love song titled "She Used to Love Me A Lot" from Johnny Cash's upcoming album, "Out Among The Stars," has just been released. Recorded during the early 1980s, "Out Among The Stars," which is due March 25, 2014, features duets with June Carter Cash and Waylon Jennings and other previously unreleased songs.

January 13, 2014: Neil Young And Other Oldies Greats To Perform At Musicians Hall Of Fame Induction

Neil Young, Brenda Lee, Duane Eddy, the Oak Ridge Boys, and ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons are among the bands and artists who will be performing at this year's Musicians Hall of Fame Induction ceremonies. This year's inductees include Barbara Mandrell, Peter Frampton and Buddy Guy. The induction ceremonies will take place in Nashville, TN, on January 28, 2014. January 13, 2014: Art Garfunkel To Begin 2014 Tour

After a long recovery from vocal cord paresis, Art Garfunkel will be embarking on a 4-week U.S. tour starting January 29, 2014 in Franklin, TN. Other stops in this 15-show tour include Knoxville, TN; Atlanta; Macon, Augusta, and Savannah, GA; and several cities in Florida (Orlando, Ft. Lauderdale, Clearwater, Ponte Vedra, and Palm Beach Gardens).

The great Chuck Berry just gave his 200th show at Blueberry Hill, a landmark restaurant and music club in University City, MO. The 87-year-old rock and roll legend, who has been performing at Blueberry Hill since 1996, says he has no plans to retire and intends to keep on performing as long as the big man upstairs allows.

For the first time, Black Sabbath's entire catalog of studio albums from the 1970s, which include "Black Sabbath" (1970) and "Never Say Die!" (1978), are now available on iTunes. Each album has been remastered and can either be purchased separately or as part of a bundle.
