During the week of July 2, 2017, Ringo Starr celebrated his 77th birthday with an announcement of a new album titled "Give More Love" which is due out in September.

Styx recently released a limited-edition vinyl reissue of "The Grand Illusion" in commemoration of this album's 40th anniversary. A previously unreleased live album by Jan & Dean recorded in 1965 titled "Filet Of Soul" will be coming out in September. Also, a collection of memorabilia by The Zombies will be on exhibit at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame museum starting later this month.

Finally, July 6, 2017 marks the 60th anniversary of the historic first meeting between John Lennon and Paul McCartney that eventually led to the formation of The Beatles. This meeting took place at St. Peter's Church in Liverpool where Lennon was performing with his band, the Quarrymen. Shortly thereafter, McCartney joined the Quarrymen and made his debut with the band later that year. George Harrison joined the Quarrymen in early 1958, and the band changed its name to The Beatles in 1960. Ringo Starr then came on board in 1962, and the rest is history.
