During the week of July 23, 2017, AXS TV announced a new series titled "All Hail The King" of Elvis Presley-related movies and programs in commemoration of the 40th anniversary of his passing to air throughout the month of August.

Gregg Allman's final album, "Southern Blood," will be coming out in September in various formats. Also due out that month is a new career-spanning compilation by Deep Purple titled "A Fire In The Sky."

Also that week, Art Garfunkel announced a book tour beginning in late September to promote his upcoming memoir, "What Is It All But Luminous."

Finally, famed shock rocker Alice Cooper recently rediscovered a long-forgotten silkscreen print by Andy Warhol that he'd had in storage for over 40 years. Appropriately enough, the subject depicted in this rare print is an electric chair and is one in a series from Warhol's "Death & Disaster" collection.

July 24, 2017: Deep Purple To Release New Compilation

Deep Purple announced a new compilation titled "A Fire In The Sky" which is due out on September 8, 2017. This career-spanning collection includes at least one song from each of the band's studio albums beginning with its 1968 debut, "Shades Of Deep Purple," through its latest release, "Now What?!" (2013). Highlights include such classics as "Hush" and "Smoke On The Water."

July 25, 2017: Alice Cooper Rediscovers Long-Forgotten Andy Warhol Print In Storage Locker

Alice Cooper recently rediscovered a long-forgotten Andy Warhol silkscreen print of an electric chair that had been sitting in one of his storage lockers for over 40 years. Based on a 1953 photograph of the death chamber at Sing Sing prison, this rare collector's item is one in a series of prints from Warhol's "Death & Disaster" collection which may be worth millions of dollars.

July 26, 2017: Gregg Allman's Final Album To Be Released

Gregg Allman's final album, "Southern Blood," will be coming out on September 8, 2017 in various formats and can be preordered at GreggAllman.com. This album features Allman performing songs written by such artists as Bob Dylan, Jerry Garcia, Jackson Browne, and Allman himself. Allman died on May 27 of liver cancer at age 69.

July 27, 2017: AXS TV To Air Elvis Presley Month-Long Special

To commemorate the 40th anniversary of the passing of Elvis Presley, AXS TV will air a series of Presley-related movies and programs every Tuesday throughout the month of August. Titled "All Hail The King," this upcoming series will kick off on August 1 with the 1970 documentary, "Elvis: That's The Way It Is." The August 8, 15, 22, and 29 episodes will feature, respectively, the following movies: This Is Elvis" (1981), "Elvis Lives!" (2016), "Elvis On Tour" (1972), and "Clambake" (1967). On August 16, AXS TV will also air an Elvis-themed episode of its "Classic Albums" series followed by an encore screening of "Elvis Lives!"

July 28, 2017: Art Garfunkel Announces Book Tour To Promote Upcoming Memoir

Art Garfunkel recently wrote a memoir titled "What Is It All But Luminous" which will be coming out on September 26, 2017. He announced a book tour beginning September 25 in Doylestown, PA and ending October 15 in Miami, FL, in which he will make a series of appearances covering 11 cities across the country. The famed folk rocker also has a series of concerts scheduled through April, 2018.
