During the week of September 10, 2017, a benefit concert for Hurricane Harvey Relief was announced which will take place September 22, 2017 in Austin, TX. Featured performers include Paul Simon, Willie Nelson, and James Taylor.

Bob Dylan announced a new series of U.S. tour dates beginning in October with Mavis Staples as the opening act. Also that month, Steely Dan will launch a North American tour. Rod Stewart will join the lineup for the 2018 Endymion Extravaganza to take place in New Orleans next February. Also, Gordon Lightfoot and Kenny Rogers are among the featured performers at the upcoming 2018 Stagecoach Festival to take place next April in Indio, CA.

Ringo Starr recently released a new album titled "Give More Love," and a new Donny Osmond box set titled "One Night Only" is due out later this month. A new archival holiday album titled "Christmas With Elvis And The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra" will be coming out in October. Also that month, Rhino will launch its 2nd Annual Rocktober campaign featuring vinyl reissues of classic albums by Alice Cooper, Faces, Chicago, T. Rex, The Grateful Dead, and ZZ Top. A new solo album by Mavis Staples titled "If All I Was Was Black" is due out in November.

September 11, 2017: Rod Stewart To Perform At 2018 New Orleans Mardi Gras Bash

September 11, 2017: Bob Dylan Announces Fall Tour Dates

Bob Dylan announced a new series of tour dates in the U.S., with R&B legend Mavis Staples to open all shows. So far, 21 shows have been confirmed beginning October 17, 2017 in Salt Lake City, UT and ending November 16 in Boston, MA, with stops in California, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.

September 12, 2017: Mavis Staples To Release New Album

A new solo album by Mavis Staples will be coming out on November 17, 2017. Titled "If All I Was Was Black," this collection consists of entirely new songs written by Wilco's Jeff Tweedy expressly for Staples dealing mainly with today's racial and political climate. Staples and Tweedy first collaborated on the 2010 album, "You Are Not Alone," and later also released "One True Vine" (2013).

September 12, 2017: Steely Dan Announces Tour

After the recent passing of co-founder Walter Becker, Donald Fagen of Steely Dan announced a fall North American tour as part of his promise to keep the music we created together alive. This upcoming 8-date trek begins on October 13, 2017 in Thackerville, OK and ends on October 25 in National Harbor, MD, with stops in Connecticut, Maryland, Michigan, and New York, as well as Ontario, Canada.

September 12, 2017: Donny Osmond Box Set To Be Released

A new Donny Osmond box set titled "One Night Only" will be coming out on September 22, 2017. This limited-edition collection documents the final concert of his 2017 UK tour which took place on February 3 at Birmingham's National Exhibition Centre. Also included is a DVD with footage of the "Purple Card" segments from all of Osmond's shows during which he answers questions from the audience and takes requests.

September 13, 2017: Paul Simon, Willie Nelson, James Taylor To Take Part In Hurricane Harvey Benefit Concert

A benefit concert to raise money for Hurricane Harvey Relief will be held on September 22, 2017 in Austin, TX at the city's Frank Erwin Center. Dubbed "Harvey Can't Mess With Texas," this event will air on 11 local Texas TV stations. Featured performers will include Paul Simon, Willie Nelson, James Taylor, and Bonnie Raitt. September 15, 2017: New Orchestra-Enhanced Elvis Presley Christmas Album To Be Released

A new album titled "Christmas With Elvis And The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra" will be coming out on October 6, 2017. This upcoming holiday collection combines archival performances of The King with new orchestral accompaniment by London's famed Royal Philharmonic Orchestra recorded at Abbey Road Studios. Highlights include such long-time Presley favorites as "Blue Christmas" and "Merry Christmas Baby," plus his renditions of various old familiar chestnuts.
