During the week of November 8, 2020, country star Charley Pride was honored with the 2020 Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award at the 54th annual CMA Awards which aired November 11 on ABC. In addition, The Doobie Brothers and T. Rex were among those to be officially inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2020.

Also that week, Bruce Springsteen topped Billboard's Adult Alternative Songs airplay chart with the title track from his latest album, "Letter To You." Other veteran oldies artists with chart milestones include Stevie Wonder with his new single, "Where Is Our Love Song," which debuted at #23 on Billboard's Adult R&B Songs airplay chart, making this the seventh decade in which he has had at least one song on a Billboard chart. Smokey Robinson similarly extended his Billboard charts run to a whopping eight decades with "All Of My Love," which reached #29 on the Adult R&B Songs chart.

Patti LaBelle and Dolly Parton are among the featured performers at this year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, an abbreviated version of which will take place in front of Macy's flagship store on 34th Street and without an audience due to COVID-19 concerns. In keeping with holiday tradition, this event will be televised live on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2020.

Also taking place on Thanksgiving Day 2020 is "Nurse Heroes Live," a benefit concert featuring Stevie Wonder, Carole King, and other performers viewable via live stream. For more info, visit Live.NurseHeroes.org.

Finally, Jimmy Page, John Fogerty, and Randy Bachman of The Guess Who are among those to appear in "The Ventures: Stars On Guitars," a new documentary about the legendary 1960s surf rock band to be released December 8, 2020 on DVD, as well as on cable, steaming, and video-on-demand platforms in the U.S. and Canada. Narrated by Don Wilson, The Ventures' only remaining surviving original member, this film features interviews with a number of celebrities who are fans of the band.
