During the week of January 10, 2021, it was announced that Bruce Springsteen will be joining the lineup of featured performers for "Celebrating America," an upcoming post-inauguration primetime TV special hosted by Tom Hanks to broadcast January 20 on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, and MSNBC, as well as on YouTube and other online platforms.

Also that week, it was announced that the 2020 Kennedy Center Honors, which were originally rescheduled for March 2021 due to COVID-19 concerns and are now set to take place this May, will air June 6 on CBS. Among the honorees are celebrated folk singer-songwriter and activist, Joan Baez.

Willie Nelson will be the keynote speaker at this year's South by Southwest (SXSW) conference taking place online March 16. Other attractions include over 230 conference sessions, music showcases, and film festival screenings.

Mick Fleetwood has sold all of his royalty interests in Fleetwood Mac's recordings to BMG. The deal covers over 300 recordings spanning the band's third album, "Play On" (1969), through the present and includes such classic hits as "The Chain," "Don't Stop," "Go Your Own Way," and "Rhiannon."

Rhino announced its latest offerings for 2021 from its annual "Start Your Ear Off Right" campaign featuring various limited-edition vinyl discs to be sold exclusively at select U.S. record stores this month. Among the featured recordings are "Retrospective: The Best of Buffalo Springfield" (1969) and The Cars' "Shake It Up" (1981).

Also that week, CMT announced that episodes from the "Skyville Live" concert series will be shown throughout 2021. Among the featured artists are Gregg Allman, Gladys Knight, Kris Kristofferson, Cyndi Lauper, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Graham Nash. The first installment, "Skyville Live: Kris Kristofferson & Friends," will air January 19.

Finally, Elvis Presley's Graceland is now offering two-hour online guided tours due to COVID-19. The first virtual tours are scheduled for January 27, February 25, and March 25, 2021, with more dates to be announced.
