During the week of July 11, 2021, CMT announced the upcoming premiere of "CMT Giants - Charley Pride" to air August 25. This TV special pays tribute in concert to the late pioneering black country superstar famous for "Kiss An Angel Good Mornin'" and other classics.

Also that week, it was announced that Queen's "Greatest Hits" (1981) reached #2 on the Top Rock Albums chart and #7 and #9 on the Top Physical Albums and Top Vinyl Albums lists, respectively. An all-time favorite, this classic 40-year-old compilation was among the best-selling albums in the U.S. for the first half of 2021 based on sales data for CDs and vinyl as well as digital downloads.

Robby Krieger of The Doors will release "Set The Night On Fire: Living, Dying, And Playing Guitar With The Doors" which is due out on October 12, 2021. In this upcoming memoir, Krieger shares his life story and recounts his days with The Doors as well as various memorable encounters with other famous musicians.

Also that week, it was announced that "Amazing Journey: The Story Of The Who," a 2007 documentary about the famed veteran British rock band, is available for streaming via Amazon Prime. This movie features rare footage and segments, live performance clips, and in-depth interviews with original members Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey.
