During the week of June 27, 2021, it was announced that the Ed Sullivan Show's official YouTube channel will feature rare clips of historic performances throughout the month of July. Paul Anka, Louis Armstrong, The Dave Brubeck Quartet, Ray Charles, Petula Clark, Connie Francis, Brenda Lee, Wayne Newton, and Jackie Wilson are among the many coming attractions.

Also that week, ABBA's hugely popular greatest hits compilation, "ABBA Gold," became the first album to spend a record-breaking 1000 weeks on the U.K. charts. Released in 1992, this smash, which includes such classics as "Dancing Queen", "Mamma Mia," and "Waterloo," is a top-seller worldwide with sales of 30 million to date.

Carlos Santana will be honored with the Legend Award at the 34th Annual Hispanic Heritage Awards to be aired October 8, 2021 on PBS. This event will feature filmed performances and other segments from various locations throughout the U.S. and Latin America. The guitar giant also recently launched "Splendiferous Santana," a playlist of music released by his band over the past 20 years which is available on all major streaming platforms.

Sirius XM recently launched "Good Vibrations: The Beach Boys Channel" dedicated to music by the famed surf rock band which will air through August 31, 2021. The new channel features the band's greatest hits as well as alternate versions, obscure cuts, and other rarities. Various members, both past and present, will also share stories from their time with the band.

Also that week, it was announced that "Summer Of Soul" opens in theaters on July 2, 2021 and will stream on Hulu. This critically-acclaimed documentary, which made its world premiere in January at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival, covers the Harlem Cultural Festival, a series of concerts that took place June 29-August 24, 1969 and featured such top performers as The 5th Dimension, B.B. King, Mahalia Jackson, Gladys Knight & The Pips, Nina Simone, Sly & The Family Stone, The Staple Singers, and Stevie Wonder. In addition to concert footage, other movie highlights include both new and archival interviews.

Finally, Ringo Starr announced his upcoming "peace and love" birthday celebration which he has held every year since 2008. Information about fan-hosted regional celebrations, both in person and virtual, will be posted on Starr's official Facebook page, with various events confirmed so far in over a dozen countries.
