During the week of May 30, 2021, Grand Funk Railroad announced their return to the stage for the first time since the start of the pandemic with a tour that will kick off July 2 in Fayetteville, GA. Dubbed the Some Kind of Wonderful Tour, this upcoming trek covers many states across the U.S. with concerts scheduled through early November. The veteran band's current lineup includes original members Don Brewer and Mel Schacher.

Smokey Robinson reveals the inspiration behind his 1967 smash, "I Second That Emotion," in the first installment of AARP Studios' new series, "Smokey Wrote That," which posted June 2, 2021 on YouTube. In upcoming episodes of this eight-part series, the Motown legend and prolific hitmaking songwriter will also discuss the making of "Tracks Of My Tears," "Shop Around," "Ooh Baby Baby," "Tears Of A Clown," and "My Girl."
